Cross Country Event
Thu 18 May 2023Thank you to Mrs Munns for taking children from Years 1 and 2 to Gang Warily for the New Forest Sports Partnership's inter-school cross country event this afternoon. The children made us very proud.
The Year 2 girls team came in third place, Year 1 boys came in fourth place and the Year 2 boys came in fifth place.
Well done everyone!

Teddy Bears' Picnic
Thu 18 May 2023Year R enjoyed a wonderful Teddy Bears' picnic this afternoon with family members. In preparation the children planned the food, the music and the story to share. Well done everyone.:)

Planting Coronation Seeds
Tue 16 May 2023Today our Year 2 Planet Protectors have been working with Mr Cozens to clear one of our raised beds and plant some special wildflower seeds. The seeds have been given to our school to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III. The wildflowers will provide food for a wide range of insects, including bees and butterflies.

Mental Health Week
Mon 15 May 2023Anxiety is the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2023
This year's Mental Health Awareness Week aims to increase people's awareness and understanding of anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem. We have talked to the children about ways we can understand and cope with anxiety.

Walk to School Week
Mon 15 May 2023Well done to everyone for taking part in Walk to School week. It's been fantastic to see so many of you walking, scooting or cycling to school.

Florence Talk
Mon 15 May 2023Today we had a special visitor in Year 1 and 2 who talked to the children about the life of Florence Nightingale. The children learnt lots of new facts which they found interesting.

Nursing Visit
Thu 11 May 2023As part of the Year 1 and 2 history topic on Florence Nightingale, we invited Rachel Reeve, a local nurse and ex-Manor parent, into school to talk to the children about modern nursing.

Modeshift Stars - Platinum Award
Fri 05 May 2023For the second year running, Manor has been awarded the Platinum Award from Modeshift Stars for our outstanding travel plan. Well done everyone for supporting us. By walking, scooting, cycling or using the Park and Stride to get to school, you are making it safer for our children at drop off and pick up times and also supporting our children to be healthier individuals.

Coronation Celebrations
Fri 05 May 2023Thank you to the PTFA for organising a special Coronation Parade today. The crown's all looked AMAZING! Thank you to all of the parents and carers for supporting us with this event. Every child has been presented with a commemorative medal gifted by the PTFA.
