Welcome

Welcome to Manor CE Infant School

As the Acting Head Teacher of Manor, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our happy and nurturing school community. We are a small, close-knit school that prides itself on creating a warm and supportive environment where every child is valued, encouraged, and inspired to grow.

At Manor, our Christian ethos underpins the life of the school and is embedded in all aspects of school life. Our core Christian values are ‘Love, Courage and Hope’. We believe in fostering a love for learning from the earliest stages of education. Our dedicated team of staff work tirelessly to create engaging, creative, and fun learning experiences that support the development of each child’s individual strengths and talents. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, confident, and excited to come to school each day.

We also value strong partnerships with our families, the church and the wider community. Together, we aim to build a foundation for lifelong learning, helping children develop not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well.

Please explore our website to find out more about our curriculum, school life, and the many opportunities we offer. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit, feel free to get in touch – we would love to show you around and introduce you to our school.

Warm regards,
Sarah Munns
Acting Headteacher

Comments from Attached Inspector Visit - January 2025

'Manor is self-improving as evidenced by the high standards in phonics, the impact of the mathematics and English leaders on ensuring strong implementation of the school’s chosen approaches and the impact of the SENDCo on provision for individual children with SEND.'

'The headteacher and other leaders have worked hard to ensure that provision across the school is strong.'

'Teaching and learning as evidenced on the visit are strong across all classes. Strengths include the quality and impact of questioning, the clarity of modelling, the quality of task design and the impact of additional adults to ensure interventions support some children to close curriculum gaps and keep up.'

'Children are happy, enjoying their learning and are well mannered.'

'High expectations and strong relationships ensure that all children are productive and developing their independence.'

'Phonics attainment has strengthened over the last three years, and is well above average. The schools chosen approach and the associated interventions are ensuring high outcomes in reading fluency and transcription. Other schools have come to observe the provision, due to its strength.'

'The wider curriculum is broad, balanced, and progressive.'
