Save Our Seas!
Fri 10 May 2024Today has been our Ocean Day. Miss Allinson led an assembly all about how we can look after our seas and the creatures that live in them. We explored how every living thing relies on the ocean and what we can do to protect it. This included discovering that most litter ends up in the sea and the effect of plastic. Miss Allinson also shared her book ‘Jeffrey’s Journey’.

Litter Ambassador Visit
Fri 10 May 2024Cllr Peter Armstrong, one of our school Governors who is a UK Litter Ambassador came into school yesterday. He talked to the children about the importance of not dropping litter and looking after our planet.

Litter Picks
Wed 08 May 2024As part of our Environmental Week we've been on litter picks in and around the school site today. We've collected lots of rubbish, making the area clean and tidy whilst getting some exercise at the same time! Thank you to the parents who helped us.

Environmental Week!
Tue 07 May 2024It’s Environmental Week at Manor!
Today we had a fantastic trip to Minstead Study Centre. This morning we took part in a habitat hunt, a grow your own plant tasting activity and pond dipping. After lunch we took part in a biodiversity blitz, a recycling activity and then we met the sheep and chickens. Thanks to James, Lucy and Karen for a great day. Thanks also to the the PTFA for paying for the children’s entry to Minstead. It was amazing!

Litter Pick
Sun 28 Apr 2024Our Planet Protectors continue to go on regular litter picks in and around the school site. They are very proud of the work that they do to keep our pathways litter free.
