Week 3 (w/b 16th November) - Well done Red Class! You sounded out words really well, did some great jumping in PE and some lovely drawing in Art.

Week 2 (w/b 9th November) - Excellent learning everyone! We had a great time in DT this week, learnt some more songs on the chime bars and stayed active in PE.

Design and Technology - Red Class had a great time designing, making and evaluating their fruit/vegetable salads! (12th November)

Week 1 (w/b 2nd November) - What an exciting week! We had fun on the play trail, did an experiment in Science and had our first Music lesson with Hampshire Music Service.

This half term we are reading books by Kes Gray.

Lepe Beach Trip (12/10/20)

Red Class had a fantastic time on their first school trip to Lepe! We took part in some litter picking along the beach and went on a Geography walk. We also went on a Seaside Safari and had a go at creating a piece of artwork inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

Autumn Term 1 Topic Overview - The Seaside

Welcome to Red Class

Tour of Red Class

Hello Red Class. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Year 1 on Monday 7th September. Here is a tour of your new classroom. 

You may work in the ‘studio’ with Mrs Effemey. 
Our topic is ‘Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside’. We will be learning where beaches are and about seaside holidays in the past. 
This half term we are reading books by Jeanne Willis. 
This is our ‘Reflection Area’. You can access it anytime and we use it during Collective Worship. 
These are Red Class toilets. 
Our class charity is Phoebe’s Family. This is an orphanage in Kenya. Red Class with raise money for the children there throughout the year. 
This is our cloakroom. You will have your own peg to hang your coat.
